Center for Marine Biotechnology

Photo of IMCS Bldg.. The Center for Marine Biotechnology at Rutgers University (RUCMB) fosters and promotes inter-institutional, interdisciplinary basic and applied research in a wide variety of groundbreaking areas of science and technology. This new academic unit builds upon the extraordinary success of the Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences (IMCS) at Rutgers University, which, over the past decade, has become an internationally recognized marine science institution. Our vision is that over the next decade RUCMB will build strong, new collaborations among other academic units within the University and other academic institutions that will significantly enhance the economic prospects and environmental quality for the state.
